UNBOXING TIME - CLEARING THE MIND CLUTTER

Time to introduce myself, my name is Robyn and am the owner of Zencea Meditation.
I have been a lover of all things healthy for a long time now, but I have not always followed my heart.
I am a wife, a mum and a nanna. I have been married, divorced and remarried, I have been a stay at home mum, I have lived and worked on a farm and I have worked for many years in very stressful work roles. I have also been diagnosed with breast cancer on two seperate occasions. I believe that continued stress over periods of time in my life - stress that I allowed to keep invading me - had major detrimental impacts on my health.
Hence my journey into meditation. I grew up in a very strong catholic family, catholic all girls schooling, church every week. Meditation was not a part of my life at all. Church, prayer and confession were though, and by the time I turned about 23 my mum was dying from metastic breast cancer which she was first diagnosed with when she was 39.
At this time I decided that my belief in a God that I was taught would look after us, needed to change. From then until about 10 years ago I believed in nothing outside living each day doing what I did.
Turn the dial to now and I am a different person. Now I am in touch with me, I am learning daily what my feelings are and I am the most important person in my life, if I am not healthy and happy how can I possibly be a good mum to my kids or a good nanna to my grandkids or a good wife to my husband. Now I have energy for myself and for my family. Most of us have long stories to tell about our good times and hard times and I have had my fair share of both. But I am determined to do the rest of my life how I want. Not how I feel others think it should be.
I am growing and learning about myself now - a journey I wish I had gone on years ago. But we can only do what we can do, when we are ready.
Meditation has changed my life, I sleep better, I am calmer, I eat better, I am so much happier.
I am not saying that meditation is the be all and end all to feel calmer and happier, but by practicing meditation regularly I have been able to clear the clutter in my mind which allows me to focus on taking time for me and seeing life from a clearer space.
I look forward to sharing my stories, journey and meditation experiences with you all.
